Born out of ignorance” is the comment from one of the Japanese digital lomographers. The original model was VQ-1005 and the idea was just to create a mini keychain size digital lomo camera. The picture quality of this little guy was the dream of the Japanese lomographers – dark corners, rich color saturation and contrast.
After the first batch of VQ-1005 was sold out, VistaQuest upgraded the picture quality of this camera to look like normal digital photos. It was not accepted by the digital lomographers, therefore, the Japanese lomographers decided to work with VistaQuest to develop a new model VQ1015 ENTRY. VQ1015 ENTRY was exclusive for the Japanese market and it can capture exceptional film “lomo-feel” pictures. And now the newest model of the vq cameras, the vq1015 R2. This model has a unique lens, one glass layer and two plastic layers. Its CMOS has a better response even under low illumination, and its dimension is larger than that of the previous model VQ1015 ENTRY.
